The Cottage restaurant is a fresh take on this iconic and historic downtown Flagstaff building. Keeping the tradition in serving delicious food to this beautiful mountain town, it’s remained a restaurant but with a new menu, The Cottage is now open with a French Farmhouse Bistro feel and taste.
I really enjoyed photographing, and eating these delicious dishes carefully made my Chef Scott. I really was impressed when my tastebuds brought out a sense of nostalgia in the feel of The Cottage Restaurant and also in the taste. I reflected on my own time when I was in France for school. The fresh farm to table menu prepared here is certainly worth a reservation.
While photographing a dish with so much color and texture as the meals that I photographed with Chef Scott, anyone would think, “Hey, maybe there is farm out back where someone roughly picked a handful of greens for atop my steak, right here.”, surely a farmhouse feel. The menu is expresses a range of dishes from France as it is known, regionally. Scott Chef’s contemporary take on cooking also takes into account sustainability and with that farm to table feel, that The Cottage does so well, most ingredients are sourced local to Flagstaff.
Maybe its not the ingredients or the atmosphere that makes this place but the genuine authenticity of its owner, his passion for food and philosophy for culinary brings this place and menu to life. It was easy to photograph such gorgeous food and eating it was pretty great too 🙂
