Permits
Leah and Bubba got permits to hold a small wedding at Grandeur Point. It’s on the South Rim of Grand Canyon. Leah contacted me about wedding photos. She also mentioned that she was having a difficult time in finding a wedding officiant. I lived at the Grand Canyon for several years. I was sure that some of the locals were ordained to officiant a wedding. After a little bit of searching, I found one that was available for her wedding at Grand Canyon.
Meeting
I met them in the parking lot of the Yavapai Geology Museum. Grandeur Point is just to the west of the building. Leah and Bubba were not your usual couple, but Grand Canyon weddings are unique in nature. Photographed many non-traditional; weddings at Grand Canyon. Leah’s dress and vail had red accents and the dress was white with black lace. The sew matched the couple and they were lively and exciting just like the outfits they’d chosen.
Wedding
The wedding at Grandeur Point lasted just five minutes. Then we were off taking pictures along the rim. It was evident that Leah and Bubba were meant to be married. Shooting their portraits was one of the most fun experiences I have ever had a Grand Canyon. Naturally at ease, except for maybe a couple shots close to the edge, their comfort with each other was evident and I am truly pleased to have captured such honest and loving expressions. Congratulations Bubba and Leah!
